Red Wine
This is a playful blending of 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Pinot Noir, 20% Merlot, and 30% Syrah. It offers red fruit, wild strawberry and a hint of hard spices.
In the glass, this Syrah is deep, intense, nearly inky purple in color. The nose offers hints of plums, hard spices and coffee.
This is a lush and full bodied Merlot. It offers stone fruit, plum and hints of rose geranium in the nose.
It begins with a softly fragrant nose of soft old roses and stone fruit tree blossoms, followed by hints of cedar, vanilla and cinnamon spice. The mouth feel is full and well balanced with good acid structure and nicely integrated tannins.
The 2008 Monterey Pinot was sourced 10% our Russell Estate Vineyard in Corral de Tierra and 90% from the Silacci Vineyard at the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands. This wine is a classic cold weather pinot with jewels coloring and bright berry flavors.
Our 2007 Monterey Pinot Noir offers a return to a more delicate style of Pinot Noir. The nose begins with a lovely floral and rose promise. Strawberry and Santa Rosa plum notes are balanced with a touch of rhubarb leaning to a clean and crisp finish.
Full and intense in the mouth, rich fruit flavors are carried by balancing acidity that keeps the wine focused and produces a lush finish.
2007 was a great year to make wine on the California coast. We were blessed with well balanced canopies and a long, mild fall which led to full phenolic ripeness and wonderful balance.
This wine begins with a powerfully floral nose offering rose petals, stone fruit flowers and hints of chocolate. On the pallet, the wine begins with soft cherry, cassis, blueberry and red fruits and grows to a long bright finish that classically portrays the River Road terroir characteristics.
This classic full bodied Bordeaux style wine was created with a 20-20-20-20-20 field blend of malbec, cabernet franc, petit verdot, merlot and cabernet sauvignon.
